It’s very nearly publication day for London’s Number One Dog Walking Agency and I am in bed with a rotter of a cold. It’s almost impossible to fathom that we have arrived here, nearly a year on from hearing that the wonderful team at Bonnier wanted to publish the book, with all the craziness that has happened in between and yet it somehow feels like the longest of journeys. Not just a journey of words on page, paragraphs becoming chapters and chapters becoming a book, but of becoming a writer, leaving behind an old life and embarking upon another, while wiping bums and making sandwiches and being woken up multiple times a night. I am beyond grateful, and in awe of the hard work that goes into every aspect of releasing a book and cannot thank everyone involved enough.
